Some unexpected good news – a recent study reveals that despite the current crisis the nation is facing, many Americans are optimistic about their future.

Here’s a part of the whole article:

At a time of historic economic challenges and a deep U.S. recession, Americans remain distinctly optimistic, according to research commissioned by Northwestern Mutual. The research, called The American Reality Study, has revealed a number of surprising results about the attitudes and priorities of Americans, age 25 and up. People appear to be realistic about the serious financial challenges ahead, but are positive about the future, even in the near-term. They are satisfied with the success they’re achieving with what matters to them most, and believe that they will eventually achieve their dreams.

The survey also shows a greater number of Americans who have taken other factors in their life into perspective, seeing the positive in their family and other social relationships. Some even go as far as to say that money is simply a means to an end, and while very important to them, cannot possibly be the sole reason for happiness and fulfillment.

This only goes to show that there are people out there who despite the present problems, are seeing a positive future. It’s easy to get sidetracked by all the negativity that’s been going around these days, but it’s good to know that there are some who just keep on moving forward and just keep trying to adapt to the changes going on around them – hard as it might be that’s reality. It’s much more productive than brooding or forecasting doom. It’s an attitude we should imitate.

Life Insurance may be the only profitable avenue in the insurance industry to date due to the economic slowdown. Experts in the field are saying that the trends are showing prices dropping due to a stable demand for life insurance which covers one of the most certain events on earth, death. Everybody dies and everybody wants some form of protection or another for their families as their legacy for loved ones. Most areas are going downhill, home insurance is faltering with rock bottom prices and no buyers. High incidents of damage due to the worsening climate change resulting in millions if not billions of dollars in lost revenue to pay out issued policies.
Businesses also taxed hard on the insurance industry due to the fact that many have gone out of business due to the unfavorable economic conditions and the bad news just keeps going and going like the Energizer Bunny on steroids. Just hope that bunny runs out of juice before the cash runs out and the economy falters some more!
